While Americans are suffering from high inflation and growing living costs – some having to choose between rent and food or gas for work, the Biden administration plans to send hundreds of million in additional aid to Ukraine.
During a NATO summit in Madrid, Spain, President Joe Biden said that his administration will soon be announcing that the United States will be committing $800 million in taxpayer money for Ukraine in the coming days and it includes air defense.
Thus far, Kyiv has received over $12 billion in financial and military assistance, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, since the invasion began when Russia moved troops into eastern Ukraine.
US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan confirmed prior to Biden’s statements that Washington was indeed finalizing a deal that includes “advanced medium and long-range air defense capabilities for the Ukrainians, along with some other items that are of urgent need, including ammunition for artillery and counter-battery radar systems.”
Despite Americans already struggling to pay their bills, Biden said the United States and its allies will continue to pay high prices for oil “as long as it takes,” going to blame Russia for the high gas prices, despite only ten percent of America’s oil coming from Russia.
Biden also did not mention that the high prices may be caused by the skyrocketing inflation that has taken hold since he took office in January 2021 – the Federal Reserve has printed over $6 trillion since the covid pandemic began and Biden’s additional stimulus package, sealed it.
“The reason why gas prices are up is because of Russia. Russia, Russia, Russia,” he claimed.
Biden pushed for a gas tax holiday as well as a cap on Russian oil, which he believes will ease the pain being felt by everyday Americans every time they fill up their vehicles.
Biden also did not mention that his administration had cut off the oil and gas industry as soon as he took over the Oval Office, while former President Donald Trump had America in a position of energy independence with his policies – it probably safe to say that if Trump had not been so effective in his role, the economy would have crumbled far sooner under Joe Biden’s watch if Trump had not been so successful.
The wallet-breaking prices are being dubbed the “Putin price hike” but this is merely a deflection tactic, used by the Democrats to blame their shortcomings on someone other than themselves.
They are the people who are currently hell-bent on destroying America and everything it stands for and it is likely that if Republicans are unable to turn around the Midterm Elections coming later in the year, where they could take back the House of Representative and the Senate, Biden will continue his destructive path unabated.
